We have recently received a letter from Bryan Makin of Wembley, England requesting information on Cowrie Shells. He is particularly interested in the following:

a) Range of Species in any given area
b) The type of habitat favoured by particular species
c) Life history and habits
d) Variations of colouring within populations

If you are a diver and would be interested in assisting with such a project contact the Editors, who have a few personal reference books on sea shells and a list of probable species found on our UAE coastline.

This is not a collecting project, purely a study.
